A New Year's Word of Caution
Hate group planning antisemitic demonstration in Amherst on Saturday, Oct 5.
It is hard to even write out the words, “Shana Tova!” during these painful times.
Of course we wish a good year for our readers, better than this past year, we might hope.
And, unfortunately, this year starts off with some ugly news — that a hate group is planning an antisemitic demonstration on the Amherst Common this Saturday, October 5.
This will be a rally and march starting at 1:00 pm.
Those who might feel traumatized by this demonstration of Jew-hatred or who have family members, including children, who might be traumatized or upset by this hate group’s demonstration are advised to stay away from the Common at that time.
Some members of the Jewish community and allies plan to counter-demonstrate.
The hate group is well coordinated with national and global antisemitic hate groups, and the Saturday rally and march in Amherst will be one of many happening around the country.
Please share this post with anyone who might be interested, concerned, or potentially unaware of the hate group’s calculated efforts to traumatize the Amherst Jewish community on Shabbat, immediately following Rosh Hashanah, just preceding the first anniversary of the largest slaughter of Jews since the Holocaust, and intentionally arranged during the Days of Awe between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.
